Eighth-grader Lisa Vega and her basketball teammates, the Dingoes, have made it to the regional playoffs, but before the first game their school gym is vandalized, the hoops, nets, basketballs all destroyed; with no place to practice in the middle of winter the playoffs are in jeopardy, but as this years' captain Lisa is determined to find out who it was who tried to sabotage the team--and why.
