Lucas, a young boy visiting his inattentive father at the fishing lodge he manages, is left alone with Sumi, a lodge worker who is just starting to warm up to Lucas, and when Sumi is shot in the foot while fishing, it is up to Lucas to navigate a boat up the inlet to get medical help.
