A thought-provoking, realistic story. The struggle over the impact a new pulp and paper mill will have in a town; some thinking it will be a good thing, providing employment and modernization, while others wrestling with the environmental effects of clearcutting and pollution, and the fact that the mill is going to be built on sacred Micmac land. Two young people are caught in the midst of the struggle.
