Chris Plekenpol was deployed as a company commander in Iraq in 2004. During his time there, he wrote a series of emails "to those who were concerned, to those who were praying, to those who were learning what it is to follow after God." In this book, he describes events he experienced and witnessed in Iraq. Plekenpol says "I have told it the way it happened, sometimes on the very day it happened.
