This book does not take a political position, but rather highlights how the people of Iran are open to the message of the Gospel while living, or even because of living, in what is often presented as a bed of radicalism. Those who receive their information about Iran from newspaper clippings and television sound bytes will appreciate this deeper and more nuanced view of the current landscape. These same people will be shocked by the discovery of information of the explosive growth of Iranian church- the light shining in the darkness. "Open Hearts in a Closed Land" is a necessary book that is capable of opening up closed Christian hearts in "open lands" to their emerging brothers and sisters in Iran. Hopefully, this book will inspire much prayer and work in the often misconstrued country of Iran. Those who are not concerned with Christianity in Iran will still benefit from the clear and concise recent history of Iran.
