This book is about a family who rescues wild animals. Max's parents bring home an orphaned baby squirrel, Woody. Woody manages to cause trouble at their home, as well as problems in the neighbourhood. Max and his neighbour, Mrs. Baxter, save the day by transferring Woody to a safe, wooded area.
