Canon’s new PowerShot A1000 IS, which succeeds the A590 IS released in February 2008, incorporates a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, a 4x optical zoom lens equipped with optical image stabilization, and a 2.5-inch LCD monitor. The model features a slim body design with a gentle curved grip and is available in three color variations: brown, blue and purple.
