Jim Hobbs hitches a ride to a remote area of the prairies where he holes up in an abandoned house. On a nearby farm, there is an extreme relgious cult governed by a ruthless paster who has rigid unbending rules. Jim becomes friends with the pastor's daughter who wishes to escape. Risking his life, Jim offers to help her.
