This book was designed to provide everything you’ll need to teach expository and opinion writing in grades 2 and 3. It includes not only opportunities for writing informational and opinion texts, but more importantly, we’ve deconstructed effective writing into all of the foundational concepts and discrete skills students need in order to be successful. Throughout the text close strategic reading skills and annotation and analysis are stressed, providing the foundational understanding necessary for responding to text in writing.
