“Sekweha the Superkid” is an inspiring story about an Indigenous boy raised by his grandparents, deeply immersed in his culture within a First Nations community. When he moves to a bustling urban city, Sekweha encounters new experiences that pull him away from his childhood teachings and practices. During this transition, he gradually loses connection to his traditions and cherished cultural items. Among these, his most sentimental possession is a “superhero” cape, gifted by his grandmother to empower him with bravery, confidence, strength, courage, and protection.
