History meets myth in a dramatic retelling of the story of Qu Yuan, celebrated poet of ancient China. Wrongfully exiled to a remote island, he befriends a sea dragon disguised as a mermaid. Together they decide to flee to her undersea world. Misunderstanding, villagers raise the alarm and attack, threatening the poet and dragon's escape.
