This is a resource for Year 1 teachers. It builds on the methodology used in the popular "Jolly Phonics" scheme. Grammar and spelling are covered with teacher's notes and children's activity sheets for two lessons a week. It is intended to: introduce new elements of grammar, teach new spelling patterns systematically, improve vocabulary and comprehension, reinforce the teaching in The Grammar Handbook 1, and extend the children's phonic knowledge.
