Eight-year-old Maddie and her family move to a farm called Horsetail Hollow, and after she and her six-year-old sister find a wishing well, a magnificent white horse appears--but Maximus is a fairy tale horse, conjured out of Evie's book--so when the girls try to wish him back into his story they all end up in the fairy tale, trying to save Rapunzel.
