After devouring Found, I raced around the libraries to locate Sent. I read this one quickly too, but it wasn't as enjoyable. Which demonstrates to myself again that I am more into future than past when it comes to my reading interests. I couldn't not read this one, but I wish it was as interesting as the first. The first developed the concept and characters nicely. The second was just a rushed "episode".

I was on the fence about reading this. I really enjoyed the first book in the series, but the premise of this one (time traveling to save kids who were meant to have died in the past) didn't interest me. I thought I'd give it a go since Haddix's work is generally fascinating, and yes, it was good. Time traveling is kind of disturbing to me because of the whole paradox risk thing, but I thought she handled it well, and kept the story interesting. Yes, I'm going to keep reading this series even though there might be thirty books to go.
