Ruby's slippers.

Title
Ruby's slippers.

Personal Author EPSB
Tricia Rayburn

Summary
Up until this point, Ruby Lee's slippers have been a pair of red Converse sneakers. Raised in rural Kansas, she's never downloaded an iTune, heard of Facebook, or seen a video on YouTube. And in her free time, she hangs out with her best friend- her mom. But everything changes dramatically when her mother uproots the family and moves them to Florida to care for Ruby's grandmother. Ruby's new school is ten times the size of her old one, teachers don't know her name, and, worst of all, she manages to make an enemy of the most popular girl in school - Ava Grand - on her first day. Ruby is definitely not in Kansas anymore. Will Ruby find a way to fit into a new life that she never asked for, but that - in the end - might not be so bad? Or will she find herself clicking the heels of her old sneakers hoping for a chance togo home to Curly Creek?
