following the Great War, Canada took her first independent steps on the world stage. As a signatory on the Versailles Treaty "...to end all wars, " our fledgling nation accepted an immense global responsibility to protect the peace beyond our own shores. In the subsequent eight decades, Canada has answered the call on numerous occasions-fighting when necessary and peacekeeping where possible.
