This book is a wonderful book to introduce the alphabet and letter sounds to those toddlers. Clifford the Big Red Dog is typically a recognized figure at this age, which can help with the interest in reading. The pictures of clear, with some new words that a child may be introduced to. The book offers about 10 words for each letter.
Reseñado por DianeWilkinson (LibraryThing) The Clifford series is generally cute and easy to read, with positive messages. They are not my favorite of early reader books, but they are enjoyable, and my girls like Clifford the red dog. This book was gifted to Aubrey, and since she loves learning her letters, it is a good fit. Sadly, the story is not a story at all, but just a collection of words that correspond to each letter, and matching illustrations. The pages are nice to look at, and it certainly teaches about the alphabet. With so many excellent alphabet books available, however, that blend storytelling with learning about letters and phonics, this is disappointing. The girls will read it, and it does the job it proclaims, but the concept is done better elsewhere. Best for beginning readers who just can't get enough of Clifford.
