Winston is in trouble--he has been suspended from school and he has run away from home. So, he is sent to live with his newspaper columnist father who he hasn't seen much in a year. While on an assignment, Winston makes friends with two guys who are trying to run across Canada ... a goal that impresses Winston as the boys are amputees.
