''Learning Through Icons'' is an exciting teaching method that utilizes icon based maps as a key communication tool. The maps are supported by materials that are presented in fun-filled activities. The icons introduce the topics and each activity provides additional information. CANADIAN HERITAGE AND CITIZENSHIP includes: today's top 5 ethnic groups for each province/territory, historical native groups and current Canadian aboriginals, the first arrival of ethnic groups and why they immigrated to Canada, current demographics, heritage sites, cultural contributions to Canadian life and heritage sites, and much more. Educators are given the essentials to develop these topics further. Information is presented as separate modules for each province and territory, allowing educators to select information that pertains to their need
