Nestled in the farthest ranges of the Four Empires lies the forgotten island Närr-ciri. Long ago, the elven lords created trees to inhabit this island and take care of the woodland critters. Burdened by this duty, a particular tree by the name Närran-an grows bitter and wishes to be free of the chains of stillness. Centuries later, an elf-witch comes to the island, offering Närran-an a chance to see what life is like in the eyes of moving, breathing animals. However, as it turns out, an animal’s life isn’t always as beautiful as it seems.
