Grade 7 Unit: Structures and Design. Explores the process of design by following two groups of young designers in action. On mythical Planet Exadulto, the citizens attempt to design a new form of transportation. Back on Earth, eight students, coached by a team of architects, work on "The Pencil Project." The objective: to create a distinctive, original design. Portrays design as a flexible process resulting in a "whole greater than the sum of the parts."
