"Energy Converters investigates energy conversions in living things. The idea that stored energy is useful once it is converted is considered, and evidence for energy conversions is presented. The process of cellular respiration is introduced, and the respiration equation is compared to the equation for photosynthesis. As no conversion is perfectly efficient, the ideas of useful and waste energy are introduced".
