Military service recognition book : Volume 1: 2009
Sommaire:
Alberta-NWT Command of The Royal Canadian Legion is proud to announce the printing of the first of its Military Recognition Books to help identify and recognize many of the brave military personnel of Alberta and the Northwest Territories who have served Canada in times of great conflict. This book will go a long way to help the Legion in their task as the "Keepers of Remembrance" so that none of us forget the selfless contributions made by our Veterans. While each and every veteran has a distinct story to tell and unique experiences to share, there is one common denominator that links all those who have served as a member of Canada's Armed Forces. All veterans have stepped forward to offer the ultimate service to their country. They have bravely accepted considerable risks and hardships and endured long separations from loved ones in order to defend the principles and way of life we hold dear as Canadians. Canada's military is deployed in various conflicts around the world and we must ensure Canadians remain aware of and be thankful for their sacrifices.
