Sommaire
"This chunky paperback includes three previously publishing chapter books: The Rink Rats, Tryout Trouble and Hockey Luck. In The Rink Rats, Tom and his friends on the Glenlake Hawks face an impossible choice. They have promised to fix up the community's outdoor rink in time for the annual Family Day hockey game, but it's more work than they bargained for. Repeated snowfalls, ice damage, illness and poor game performances have tripped them up and slowed them down. And then they get an offer no hockey fan could pass on -- a chance to watch their favourite NHL team in action. But what about the rink? In Tryout Trouble, Tom is excited when he learns that Harty, the boy he met at hockey camp, has moved into the neighbourhood! That is, until Tom realizes that Harty will be competing with him for a spot on the Hawks . . . and he seems to be winning over all of Tom's teammates too. With tryouts looming, Tom starts to feel jealous. What if Harty makes the team and he doesn't? Will he be able to remain friends with Harty And the guys? In Hockey Luck, the new season is off to a shaky start -- Tom didn't get his usual lucky number 15 jersey. Stuck with number 5, Tom's luck has run out and he hasn't scored a single goal. Tom's friends set out to find him a new good luck charm. Mark eats pizza before a game; Harty dresses in a certain order; Stuart wears NHL Band-Aids and Jordan never washes his socks, but nothing seems to work for Tom! Is he stuck being unlucky? Or does luck have nothing to do with it?".
