Albertans are making the world a better place through innovations in science and technology. Innovation 2005 recognizes 100 years of scientific innovations that have changed lives and made a difference, in Alberta and around the world. The projecet is co-led by The Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta (APEGGA) and Science Alberta Foundation. Innovation 2005 features video vignettes on Global Television, as well as provincial radio and print campaigns, profiling innovations from a variety of industries including engineering and geoscience, the life sciences, and information and communication technology (ICT). Innovation is everywhere in Alberta - from our urban centers to our farming communities, from our oilsands to our forests. These vignettes and written stories will leave a lasting legacy for students, teachers, and parents.
