Sally Copeland has always dreamed of going to school in her home town instead of far away. But, when she transfers home, she worries about being able to do things for herself and being accepted for having cerebral palsy. Sally is challenged at her new school at first, but things begin to turn up and she hears about a boy, Piet, who seems to have problems even worse than hers. Sally works to overcome her own obstacles & problems, and help Piet solve his own.
