For many children with autism and other similar disabilities, learning through seeing is superior. This book attempts to answer some of the questions parents have asked us about the use of visual supports. Visual supports help children and youth with autism, Asperger Syndrome and other special needs understand their world better. Visual tools enable a child to keep track of the day's events and activities and at the same time help him or her to develop an understanding of time frame and an appreciation of environmental sequences.
