The Lac La Croix Indian pony was the perfect bush pony - curious, smart and, agreeable. So the Ojibwa used them to haul logs out of the woods and for transportation. As machines took over their jobs, the Lac La Croix Indian pony became uncessary and theirnumbers declined until there were only four ponies. Amanda and her grandfather work together to help rebuild this endangered breed.
