Emily has always been nervous to read out loud. She has never been comfortable in front of her classmates and usually tried to avoid being called upon. One day Bailey Bookworm came to visit her class, and all the children were very excited to read alongside Bailey . . . except for Emily. Through a series of adventures and mishaps (which include a very big dog), Emily and Bailey develop a friendship that leads to a lifelong love of reading.
