In this story, a bear boasts that he can jump very far. To prove this, he makes a big leap over many rocks. This takes him far out to sea. He becomes too tired to jump any farther, so he stops. Being stubborn, he stays put. He refuses to ask for help. Over time, he is turned to stone.
