Safe and Sound are two small dogs with big ideas: they want to see the world. But the world is not at all what they expect. Their troubles start as soon as they set out, for nobody has explained that planes fly very high. They soon find that the world includes boatmen on the Grand Canal, who stan up in their boats, tigers that are not in cages in India, and autumn in Australia when everybody knows it should be spring. After they have seen the world, they realize that there is only one spot for them, at least until they are grown. Home.
